Finally, vendors. Every single vendor is now secretly an AI vendor, even the ones who swear on their mothers they aren’t. You need to evaluate them based on what they actually do, not the nonsense on their marketing website. Ask them about their training data. Ask how they red-teamed it. Ask about their access controls and if they test for drift. If they stare at you like you just spoke Martian, that is your answer.
The honest truth is that an AI governance program does not start out pretty. It starts messy, basic, and a little embarrassing. But you have to begin while the fire is still burning, because waiting for calm is a fantasy. AI is not waiting for anyone.
